Biography
Matt Baker founded Broad Reach Partners to bring his extensive experience navigating decades of market disruptions, building strategic advantage, and helping to execute some of the biggest bets in the technology industry at Dell Technologies and Intel Corporation.
Matt spent 20 years at Dell Technologies, including 2 years defining and executing Dell's' AI strategy, 2 years leading Dell Technologies Corporate Strategy organization, 10 years spent driving the company’s Infrastructure Solutions Group strategy team, and several years leading strategy for Dell Technologies’ Storage business and working in product management. Prior to joining Dell in 2005, Matt held a variety of roles at Intel Corporation over a 10-year span.

Selected Accomplishments
AI Strategy and Activation
Matt pivoted out of his role as head of Corporate Strategy for Dell Technologies to help lead the development of Dell's four pillar AI Strategy; defining how Dell would use for its own business operations, how Dell would use AI in its products, how Dell would enter the market with AI solutions on which customers would run their own AI solutions, and creating an ecosystem of AI partners with which Dell would work to build and sell advanced AI solutions.
VMware Partnership and Spin
Under Jeff Clarke's leadership, Matt managed the ongoing collaboration and strategic alignment between Dell Technologies and the VMware subsidiary. In this role, Matt helped manage a strategic agenda that resulted in billions and billions of dollars of joint sales globally. Ultimately, Matt also helped lead the separation efforts once the decision to spin off VMware was made. A historic value creation moment in the technology industry
Dell's Aquisition of EMC
Product and strategy expert and the primary business advisor to Dell's Government Affairs team, external economist, legal counsel, and ultimately regulatory authorities globally leading to the successful approval of the then largest technology acquisition ever at $67 billion dollars. Thereafter, Matt was instrumental in the successful integration of the EMC business with Dell's.
